Santorini may be a tiny island (it’s only about 20 km long), but we still managed to drive 300 km here!
We explored every beach and interesting spot we could find.
Of course, we couldn’t miss out on Greek cuisine either. We tasted loads of local delicacies — Santorini tomatoes prepared in all sorts of ways, fava, Santorini salad… and naturally, a few glasses of local wine, too.
Besides the famous towns like Fira and Oia, we were most captivated by smaller villages like Pyrgos, Akrotiri, and Megalochori. There were far fewer tourists there, and it was so much easier to soak up the true atmosphere of the island. ✨ Absolutely amazing!
And one thing that totally won us over about Santorini — cats! They’re literally everywhere in the streets, so for cat lovers, it’s the perfect place for fantastic photos where you get both a cat and a beautiful town in the same shot.
We enjoyed it to the max!
